Because I am a fan of metal I climbed into this pit of awesome.
I enjoy all kinds of metal with the exception of most metalcore and most black metal. My favorite metal band is Psychostick and I love Lovecraft.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

core is bad yay. black metal is good though, i suggest trying some more of that. interesting that you are into lovecraft, have actually been looking into that a tad recently just out of curiosity.

forum has been a bit slow lately, school seemed to have killed everybody off, there has been a slight comeback though recently because of summer, if you have any more friends, you should ask them to join haha.

btw, name some more bands you like, we may be able to rec some things for you

In terms of thrash, I like Nevermore, testament, Suicidal Tendencies and the big four. In the ways of prog and alt I enjoy Tool, System and Gojira. For death metal, I like me some Faceless and some Cannibal Corpse. I like power metal as well, I have a Cellador Cd and I like Rhapsody and appreciate Man-o-War because they're so goddamn cheesy. I also enjoy groove metal such as Machine Head and Pantera. I like some blackened death metal such as Behemoth but I haven't heard too much. I even like some nu-metal as well.

I already have heard about Ensiferum but I haven't heard too much from dem. I like what I hear though.
Sounds great! I love their victory song. Wintersun's pretty good too, but they sound a bit similar.
Also, I have a confession to make. I liked LuLu. I'm actually a fan of avaant garde stuff and I love experimental jazz too.

Good to see you're into all different kinds of metal! A closed mind is the metalhead's biggest weakness. I might try to sway you to the ways of the most sinister of metal genres, but for now I'll just leave you with some good ol' Skeletonwitch! Probably the best band making thrash today, at least for me! And just enough black and death elements to make them a little unique! Hope you enjoy

I adore Katatonia. If only I had enough money to swing that. I live in western New York, so maybe we could go together, somehow.

o shit, no way. that'd be kinda neat. always wanted to meet an M&E member. though going to New york might be a tad expensive. if for some reason i cant make the philly show, ill prob go to the new york one though. i have to see this show. the two dates are right next to each other.
