When do you plan on moving out if you haven't already?

If you have already moved out, why?
Now I am 18 and I live in residence, but that isn't really moving away. I feel as if when you hit 23-24 saying that you live with your parents automatically categorizes yourself as someone who is not hard working

I'm moving out as soon as I'm done with college and able to afford it since I'll be moving cross country.

well, im 21 right now, still living at home. i plan on moving away to college, but if that doestn happen ill be here till im 22.
i really dont plan on "settling down till like 25. i still need to get my BA/BFA/MA/MFA or whatever i decide to do

I live in a dorm on campus. As soon as I have the income to move out on my own, I will. Next school year, I'm living in a house with some friends of mine.

Seriously dude, I would try to get back into landscaping if I were you. Roofing is friggin brutal. It is one of the most tiresome (physically) jobs there is. Blair recommends you try something else because seriously, there is no such thing as a "general labourer". Rob had Blair and his roomate carrying bundles of shingles up a ladder on the roof on the first day. His roomate's leg fell through. One bundle is insanly heavy so unless you are already tanked it's really difficult. Both jobs are outside but on the roof, the sun is just beating down on you and of course, roofs are mainly black so it is hot as hell. You work in the rain unless it is pouring. Sometimes you need to go inside attics and they are stuffy claustrophobic. It is also kind of dangerous. You need to be tied to the roof and sometimes everyone gets all tangled. I also know most of Rob's crew and they are mainly bitter middle aged men who just swear and smoke all day and if they were not roofing, they would be in jail. It is the highest paying job they can get. The plus sides: you will have a crazy good workout, the pay is quite high, and the hours are not usually as long (7-5 or 6).
Landscaping can be hard work but it is definitly not as bad as roofing. The hours are longer and the pay is less but seriously, Blair is dead after roofing for a day, even if he was just ripping shingles and putting new ones on. It is just stressful and everyone gets all irritable. I guess you could always TRY it and see how it goes for you, but I would try to get into grass cutting or something like that if you can because the guys there are brutal, they just make fun of eachother all day until someone gets really pissed off.

How hard was it to pay for that?

Not hard at all. I don't live in a house yet, just in an apartment, but all I had to do was save first and last months rent, which was easy because I made good money and didn't pay for anything except cable/internet when I lived at home. Should be getting a house this year. Fuck apartments.
