Buying a guitar, need advice ^^

Well i'm looking to buy a guitar (under 500 euro preferably) and preferably a very metal guitar, at the moment im looking at the ESP LTD KH202 http://www.zzounds.com/item--ESPKH202 and the schecter Damien 6 http://www.zzounds.com/item--SCEDAMIEN6 and i'd be grateful if anyone could giver their opinion on either or a different guitar.

Personally, I'm never buying anything but Ibanez again. I love my Explorer, don't get me wrong, but the action, tone and feel of Ibanez guitars just turns me on.

They do cheap models, but I'd suggest looking into mint condition second hand ones. You'll pick up a higher end model for less money.

I rock an ST200 which is an excellent buy (if you can find somoeone mad enough to sell, which will be hard) but its a heavy studio guitar. It falls in your price range though.

My main axe is an MBM1 prestige, but you ain't getting one of them cheap. There's a couple of Jem's on ebay at the minute which would be a sweet deal:

Thanks for the reply dies, I understand your Ibanez fascination they just feel so easy to play, looking for something with low string tension thats easy to shred on and has a thin neck and Ibanez would definitely suit me but finding a cheap good model could be a problem like you said, but thanks

Sorry, the only other brand I'd truly recommend is PRS, again they're pricey.

My budget axe is an AXL Jacknife, but that's way under your budget. It comes with EMG P90 pickups, which have a sweet sound, and the neck is fast, but I'm sure you'll find better with a bit of searching.

I'm not a fan myself, but maybe you could go with Epiphone, Zakk Wylde has a signature model that is just over your budget by a tiny little bit:

You'd be surprised at the price you can get a decent Ibanez for.

I will have to agree with Dies, get an Ibanez, or a ESP, possibly a Jackson if you are into them. If Ibanez, get one with a Edge 2 or 3 trem and some good pickups. Any other type of trem usually sucks. If you are going for looks, don't ask me, because I think a guitar is hot if it's got emgs, a original floyd rose, and has a maple fretboard lol.

I have an Epiphone SG bass, its ok, but it bugs me how there isnt really a good place to rest my forearm like on fenders.

I was at a music expo on Saturday and played one and loved it, it's only 270 euro and plays like a dream but I'd never heard of the make before, the man told me it was made in same factory as epiphones. Just to the left of that guitar there was a six string bass with golden hardware. So different from playing a four string lol.

Get a double neck

They had one of them too lol, 6 string and 12 string in one, nothing near Jimmy Page's though.

A few years ago, I was watching this band called GreyFace, or something like that, and their bass player and an 11-String bass, freakin epic.

Get my guitar, got the Shine in the end, and all I can say is wow, I knew it was good when I played it but I didn't realise how good, EMG-HZ pickups, was not expecting EMG's really haooy will try get some pics up, maybe a video
