Buckethead and Friends

This is not just Buckethead, this is him and some of the most talented vocalists in music today. The album, like most of Buckethead's material, is astounding, not because the guitar work is amazing, because of how he used 11 different kinds of vocals ranging from opera to grindcore making this album. It left me amazed, because he used people just as strange as himself to make this album. I love it, give the whole thing a listen.

My personal prejudice against Dickhead, er, sorry, Buckethead, means I won't be checking this out. The dude is a douche of the most epic kind.

Same, the guy never talks, like ever, and he still manages to be very entertaining, an amazing guitar player (and bassist, and dancer, oddly enough) what makes you see him as a douche?

The idea of naming yourself after a bucket placed on your head is so retarded, my I.Q. dropped 10 points just looking at him. Gimmicks are all well and good, but his is just so silly, I can't take him seriously. Plus, I was always going to hate the person who tried (and failed) to replace Slash.

I didn't know that stage presence made you a douche. Your a black metal fan are you not? Wearing satanic attire and covering yourself in spikes and singing about corpses is no way less "douch" than wearing a bucket on your head. He is probably the best guitarist alive at the moment. If you can't think of an argument about his music, it is damn well not an argument. Its an ad hominid fallacy. When do looks ever matter?

Dies, personally, Vai doesn't appeal to me. He is one helluva guitarist, but i just can't get into him for some unknown reason. I understand you may not like Buckethead, but then again, I hate Slash, so we are equal in arguement. Slash is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overhyped and in my opinion hasn't done anything that wasnt done before.

Again, you use the word argument. I started saying I had a personal distaste for the man, but said to each his own, respecting peoples opinion. I then get asked to explain my distate. I do, and because like every human does, I made an aesthetic judgement (though my blind adoration of Slash played a part), I get called up for it. I joke and then say why I think Vai is better, and get called up for that; you're the ones arguing with me and making a fuss out of nothing.

I wasn't trying to offend, but it seems to have been taken that way, so I'm sorry, can we just move on. I don't like Buckethead, you do. I can respect that. Lets all part take in some chill pills *pops little red tablet in mouth*

Gonna agree with Dies. Buckethead is way overrated.

i still have listened to less than 3 buckethead songs all the way through. i cannot make judgment on this
if you wnt intsrumental albums...go listen to petrucci's album or loomis's album

Well in matters of personal taste logical arguments can't really be used.
The premises for such an argument always have a subjective basis.

thing that seems to be making this page so fat.

I don't really see anything ridiculous about the bucket helmet personally.
Even if it was I can think of plenty of bands that are completely ridiculous
yet make great music, such as Immortal.

Well here is my 2 cents .. I have watched people talk about how great kiss , black metal ,and every other face painting freak out there is but some dude trys to stand out with a kfc bucket and he's a clown .. Well im not the biggest fan but i do know and like some of his work . Slash was a good 90s player but he's a sub par blues player at best .. If you can play someones work with ease .... its not that great in the 1st place ..

I'm not defending him, but I don't agree that he is the best guitar player out there. He is pretty versatile, but I think when it comes to sheer ability and technique, there are quite a few players who are better.

I am gonna have to agree on this, I love his work because I like his rhythms and his technique, but I think there are people WAAY better then him.

Monty Python is just a big bunch of awesome, especially The Holy Grail. A lot of fans say The Life of Brian is the best, but Holy Grail is my personal favourite. John Cleese is a genius.

i liked life of brian, but it wasnt my favorite. it was over the top odd, but it wasnt silly and inane. thats why i like holy grail
