Because it was a wild Pokemon and yours was trained, so it got stat exp points. If you put in the same time and effort into both to get them to level 100, they would have identical stats.

show was fucking great tonight. Periphery and the rest of the bands killed. Everyone was super nice. There are bunch of MTG nerds in the Born Of Osiris Camp too apparently which was fantastic. Their merch guy is my hero

Dragon's Dogma is a terrible game. Every single enemy takes a shitload of time to kill and the map is useless. Delete.

God I wish djent didn't exist... rhythmic complexity is all well and good, but that in and of itself doesn't make for good music and when paired with the awful fucking guitar tones that they use for no good reason I can fathom it just makes for drivel that makes my ears bleed.

Djent is metal for neckbeards that don't like Dragonforce.

I get the feeling that the stigmatizing of djent music comes from its fanbase more than it does the genre. I can't say I normally fall for gimmicky crap either - and I can see where you guys are coming from, it's a few steps away from the hardcore scene, but I can't help but notice that for the most part they're just having fun writing what is, in my opinion, compelling music.

Rhythmic complexity is a great thing and I agree, that in and of itself does not make good music. Some bands fail to deliver on actual composition and the djent genre is by and large polluted by this. I must argue that good stuff exists, but preferences will be what they may.



Come on, guys. You know me. I go for the grimmest, darkest, most brooding, angry, bitter music there is. But this is well done.

Getting the old winter tires put on my car today.

December is going to be such an easy month after the first week. I saved 5.5 vacation days up. Then I ended up never having anything fun to do so I just spent them all in various weekdays during December. I think I only am going to work something like 8-9 full days in December.

This family came and took my cat away today.

Oh god no. Honestly I thought the Godfather 2 was incredibly boring. Couldn't finish it.
But most of the movies on there are quite good. It does turn into a bit of a gongshow after #200 though.

o man the new alcest video is bad... song is meh also.  its not bad, its just nothing special. was hoping they would have evolved a little more than this. instead its a just a continuation of the things that i was thinking was making them stagnant. pretty disappointed

Echoing LOR's lack of impression upon the Alcest single. I'm not sold. The metal edge is what distinguished Alcest from the post-rock pretenders and now it seems Neige is in bed with them.

I did, however, find some very good melodic metal that was so underexposed all they did was 4 songs before fading into oblivion. Profound sadness for Sunless Rise, who should have risen to the Norther/Children of Bodom throne and duly kicked them in the ass.
