I liked FLCL and a few others, but the shit those deviantart f****** throw around the internet makes me hate anime and manga.

Jacked off to DragonballZ/Pokemon/Digimon when I was younger but I'm just about done with it now. I actually watched Dante's Inferno the movie and thought that was great though

I saw that one. It was pretty entertaining, and I thought the main character was funny. He was a total stereotypical hypocritical Christian crusader kind of guy.

You can watch it anytime really. It's less than two hours I think. It's about a crusader's descent through the nine circles of hell. He's trying to save his wife or girl friend, but on the way he faces threats both psychological and physical.

The only anime I've watched is Elfen Lied. That was some messed up shit. Very entertaining though.

I don't mind gore either, but it is a bit weird considering the majority is in the first 10 minutes of the first episode. You should definitely check it out though, I'm not much of an anime fan, but I really like it.

Finished Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (confusing as hell, but enjoyable), and currently watching the second series, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, about 8 episodes in, and THANKFULLY it's explaing the previous one

Most of the Mobile Suit Gundam series (I can rant about these forever and can give specifics if asked)
Classically I love Dragon Ball and Yu Yu Hakusho.
Fruits Basket and Ouran Host Club are both amazing for more "girly" series..
Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone and 2nd Gig) are amazing scifi/military.

Man I'm sure there are more but my brain is fried atm and concentrated on jewelry choices (getting some new piercings soon and I'm obsessing over the jewelry choice.)

yu yu hakusho is def one of my favorites as well. code geass is now firmly up there too though. that shit was incredible. the full metal alchemist stuff is also amazing. brotherhood and the original are both really fucking cool. i think i like brotherhood slightly more though. the ending is just infinitely more epic and satisfying.

I've actually never watched Brotherhood.

Finished Gunslinger Girl, bad ending though, I'll check out the second series at some point.

the story isn't engrossing enough for me....cuz there really wasn't one. i watched till episode 5 which where people said "if you don't like it by then you won't like it". i didn't hate it, it just never sucked me in and i don't care enough to watch it on purpose. that art and music are cool though. i don't like episodic shows too much. i'll just watch them sometimes if they are on. ruroni kencshin (too lazy to look up correct spelling lol) is the same thing with me. its neat occasionally, i just won't feel like watching it all the time.

sorry, those don't seem to be in my realm of interest so i don't really know anything to recommend. though, i think everyone in the world should watch code geass regardless, because its that fucking good.

i've recently started watching neon genesis evangelion. pretty good so far, at least its keeping me interested.

the weird way of explaining it would be like death note with mechas. except thats not really it at all. haha. its like death note in that the plot is absurdly engrossing and complex (though i like it better than death note). there's so many awesome ironies and it questions your morals and the like and its just really really well done. its a super thought-provoking anime
