Only album I've heard is Battalions Of Fear. This sounds good though.

Don't like getting a band's discography unless I'm a massive fan or they only have like 2 albums.

Honestly all you really need besides that are Follow the Blind, Imaginations from the Other Side and Nightfall on Middle Earth. If you like those then you can get the rest.

Blind Guardian is one of those bands whose discography is worth it. Batallions of Fear is nothing like their later works, because they had such a dynamic career. Their newer stuff has some folk elements and stuff in it, it's really good. I'd say if you don't want to get the discog, then pick up Nightfall in Middle Earth and A Twist in the Myth. Those, along with Batallions of Fear, are my personal favorites

A Twist in the Myth is easily their weakest release dude, the riffs have basically no power behind them, lots of filler tracks, the songs are too lighthearted, ie fruity power metal

I am moderately exicited

I'll try out a few of those. If I like them, I might get their discography.

I'm still excited for the release though, I love Blind Guardian. They need to come over here ASAP.

Skalds and Shadows is fucking amazing. And those three albums I recommended showcase their many styles best, I think.

a twist in the myth has some awesome songs on it though. my favorite from that album being, skalds and shadows, and dead sound of misery

no dude, "turn the page", "fly", "another stranger in me" are clearly better

dead sound of misery is another version of fly. i think fly is like a peterpan version and dead sound of misery is the whore of babylon version. dead sound has better hooks i think. turn the page and another stranger me are also very good though. another stranger me is just straight power metal to me. nice song though. it just seems very unusual compared to the rest of BG. it was the first song i heard by them so you can imagine what i though after listening to the stuff on nightfall on middle earth. my life was changed.

dead sound of misery solo is one of the best solos ever, imo. i just think that the whole section makes it perfect.

i like how the song relaxes for the choruses. good overall vibe
