| Opeth is a great band. For those who find it a little boring try listening to it while you are doing something else that demands attention. If you just sit down and start tapping your feet at a high frequency while listening to it you might get bored but if you relax and do other things while it plays it tends to enhance the experience.
One song I really liked that wasn't mentioned here is Black Rose Immortal.

One song I really liked that wasn't mentioned here is Black Rose Immortal. i totally agree. i tried listening it while i fell asleep and it was really boring. but i played it when i was sorting through my pictures and working and i loved it. i found my self tapping to the beat and doing my quiet little death growl to myself. good advice

| I really only listen to quite hypnotic, droning minimalist music while I'm doing work or something else boring. I don't find the level of texture in bands like Opeth to be appropriate.
I'm not denying that Blackwater Park is a really, really good album. But I can't honestly sit through any other Opeth album and say I'm gripped or I'd choose to listen to it over, say, some nice, fast Brutal Truth.
