Post Strange Music

The weird ups and downs in this song are almost Serj Tankian esque.


The main riff is pretty likeable I find in this song - as it goes on it gets a bit less interesting, but nonetheless, interesting.


Not metal. This electronic band actually gets me pretty pumped up. I wouldn't call this strange, but it's definitely off-beat and has a required taste. I hated it upon the first listen and have grown to really get excited by this

could never get into unexpect.  the concept and aesthetic was there, they just didn't execute in a fashion that gelled with me. TOO spazzy, i think they took it to a point where it was detracting from the atmosphere they were trying to create. Stolen Babies and Diablo Swing Orchestra and Sigh do it better for my tastes (the insane weirdness factor thing- they are completely different sounding bands though)

Some German acoustic rap I found the other week that taxer's post reminded me of

this thread makes me happy because half the music in my library, im like: "I cant show this to anyone till i figure out what the fuck this is"



i was tempted  to throw in some Primus, but this is sleepytime gorilla museum. ive no idea what genre they are, but their music ranges from melodious in songs like "A hymn to the Morning Star" or "What shall we do Without us?" to cacophonous in songs like "The Donkeyheaded Adversary of Humanity Opens the Discussion" or "Bring Back the Apocalypse"


Overall, I think I like them for their sense of humor. For example, one of their songs end with an old black man saying "369 the goose drank wine. The monkey chewed tobacco on the sweet caroline. The line broke. The monkey got choked. They all went to heaven in a lil row boat". I think they're hilarious.
