While the game itself is great, I fucking hate this generation so far in terms of competetive battling. All out offence is no longer an option. I hate sticky web so much, that Skarmory is in every one of my teams without fail.

Also most of this gens pokemon look like shit. I mean a set of keys? Really?

I honestly think it's great. Weather got the nerf it deserved and teams look like they're going to be less cookie cutter than before.

I too am glad for the weather nerf, but some stuff is broken. Assault Vest T-Tar, Mega Gengar amongst others (yeah, I mainly play OU). Even in ubers you are forced into carrying a Xerneas counter or you lose.

Guess I'm just waiting for the meta to settle, but I don't like having to carry direct counters to a select group of pokemon.

Mega Gengar will probably be banned because Shadow Tag is a dumb move. Don't hate on T-Tar, he's the best. The meta will fix itself soon enough... until Pokemon Bank comes into play. Yuck. 5th gen legendaries are too broken.

I swear I can't help but think of Digimon everytime I mega evolve...

I think the idea was straight up lifted from Digimon, but it's only fair after Digimon took everything about Pokemon and shat a dump truck of month old fecal slush all over the franchise. The only good idea they had belongs to Pokemon.

In terms of the cartoon, Digimon was infinitely better than Pokemon IMO. As a gaming franchise it's a different story: lets just say the Digimon games are best left alone and leave it at that.

There was a Digimon cartoon? The games were the only thing I heard about. Christ.

Digimon was fantastic for the first two seasons. Granted, each season was like 100 fucking episodes or something. After that it went right to shit. Never bothered with the games, but that's because guys like Dies helped me steer way clear

i didn't like digimon. pokemon has my heart
