What do you think will happen on 12.21.12?

After watching this video doesn't quit reassure me that nothing bad will happen, although there is plenty of hocus pocus junk out there that doesn't sound like reality. I also had no idea that our solar system is moving, although again if you really believe it really does move. Personally i have no idea what will happen. Like this video, the doomsday event might be fake and we're just talking just to keep ourselves busy. It's how we keep our minds occupied.



I sorta bought into that Y2K crap but after realizing it was nothing more then a scare & even then i don't know who even came up with the idea that computers with 2 digit year numbers would reset and blow up the world. It would have to be in the programming to do something like that. Anyway if our solar system really is approaching a point in history where something like 'time' will stop.. because earth would stop spinning. I don't even know if earth will even stop entirely or even slow down from some 'alignment', then cause earth to rotate in the opposite direction. This stuff is fascinating, but i find it funny that people think that we will suddenly stop living, cease to exit or evolve from this. Or the destruction of earth. As usual we're being told something might happen but there's really no hard proof and there's really no way to go up to space to explore with 'sensors' on a starship to further study this phenomenon. I like how the guy in this video is trying to put it all together but we're not advanced enough to determine if this is true or not. I think that people would be better off spending time fixing things right now so that we would later on have the ability to explore this possibility rather then speculating on what the last day of life is or that anything will happen.

Don't get me wrong, i'd love to either have a restart or open some new doors to reality but this seems like another cry for change when we can start changing now. Just some of my thoughts on this subject .

I would tell you why I'm bumping this but I guess that's the joke.

That aside, I think anyone will notice the amount of discomfort people had in the approach to 122112 in popular culture and fiction, and the proportional decrease in these frenetic numerologists conjuring these end times scenarios. While singularities and planets and black holes are all very real, to encounter any of these things now would have turned scientific community on its head years before these conspiracy theories and stories teetering on the make believe come to be accepted as possibilities.

Still, there was the thought in many heads about the end times and honestly it's about as good as faith can get. We can only hope for a positive outcome in all of these situations if we are to disregard common knowledge for entertainment, clearly evidenced post-Y2K, global warming and other forms of shock therapy.

If I had to inform the entertainment world of what's really fascinating and shift the focus away from skewing science, it would be the exploration of human stagnation in invention, world economics and production. Mike Judge's Idiocracy and Oliver Stone's Wall Street are both chilling films. These topics and traits have not only been seldom explored, we've also become them.

These are more thought provoking than an asteroid or a planet slamming into another because of the nuances of a society tearing itself apart in the name of the dollar or entertainment are faculties we can gauge. It breeds fear better than a falling star; that, ultimately, we do nothing but eat, shit in the ground and die for money and technology without a passing thought to the contrary.

I believe it is what we are after time and time again, yes; our own adversary, be it man, nature or machine. 122112 is exactly that, a monster created by men to evoke thought and breed fear. How sad, looking back, yes?
