I do feel the same way though, only I usually say things like that about breast cancer awareness. Putting a pink hair extension in your hair and wearing a pink ribbon doesn't do anything.

I did not think it was meant to end child abuse-there was no sort of charity attached to it. It was not like "donate this much and change your picture". It just seemed like "change your picture to show you do not support child abuse". Those who wanted to participate, did. I changed my pic for about an hour just because I found an awesome DBZ image. It was interesting seeing what some people watched.

Even though you are right...it did not actually accomplish anything.

Some of my friends got so rattled when I said that it was a popularity thing
