Nope. Did it go straight to DVD?
Blair Witch Project is not scary the second time watching it
I can't imagine a sequel being able to inflict any kind of emotion from me

I think you talked the best out of anyone which makes sense since you wrote the script. As I said on the vid, the countdown voice was key. Interesting top 5 though, I don't know if I'd put Pet Cemetary there, maybe Carrie or another Romero, but thanks for not putting Jaws or IT. I would say Freddy is scarier then Jason...it was Jason right? Or Myers.
It's hard to mesh classic horror with new horror, it's just so different. Like Frankenstein and Psycho are classics but they are not really "scary" by todays standards, (even The Exorcist seems tame) now we are all about the torture porn (Saw, Hostel) and carnage (Final Destination, 28 Days Later) though Silence of the Lambs was one of the RARE horror films to be nominated for Oscars. Then Paranormal Activity tried the Blair Witch thing, same with Cloverfield.
Then the new twists of zombie and vampire movies could be talked about until your blue in the face.
ANYWAYS, there's so much that can be talked about in terms of horror and there's so many good books out concerning it if necessary

I'd just try to explain what happened. Hopefully the professor won't be dramatic and like "Okay you all get F's"-atize you. I have to go to class now.

Interesting video. I'm not a huge fan of the horror genre, but the classics are good. I don't like the gorey slasher "horror" movies that come out nowadays at all.

I'm surprised you didn't put The Omen in the part about using small children to scare people. I've not seen it for years, but I was terrified when I saw it.

Most slasher movies are a thing of the past. Most modern day horror movies just try to make cliched "psychological" horror movies which are usually only good when there is an exceptionally good script and good acting, which most big-budget movies fail in.

Thanks man

I would have given more attention to Paranormal Activity, but when you search Youtube for that movie there are 1000000 HORRIBLE parodies.

Yeah....Slasher movies...I don't know if I'll ever watch Saw or Texas Chainsaw

People who hate Evil Dead are simply terrible people who don't understand satire and cheat on their spouses and enjoy watching Gray's Anatomy

Paranormal Activity was boooooooooooring.

I know I've said it a thousand times, but it needs to be said. That movie sucked.

nice documentary. Me and my friends are huge on horror movies except we dont watch them to be scared. We usually end up laughing at everything (we are pretty weird). Some of the only ones that we take seriously was the omen (the original and the first one -sequesl were shit i thought) and dawn of the dead. Stuff like children of the corn we find extremely laughable. Maximum overdrive (steven king) is also one of the funniest things ive ever seen. I was surprised you included pet sematary. The first time i saw it, it scared me shitless (i was pretty young). then when i got older and saw more films it didnt bother me. weird. cool video though. looks like you put alot of time into it. You could do a whole serious of these. Evil dead 2- also thumbs up. would like to see more. Smile

I don't watch much horror. Doesn't do much for me.

It might have something to do with the fact that I watched Nightmare On Elm Street with my older cousin when I was like 5 or 6 and couldn't sleep for weeks. LOL

at 5 or 6 it can be very scary but i garauntee if you watch it now, youll laugh your face off. Thats one of the movies me and my friends enjoy poking fun at. From what ive been told, the elm street movies werent supposed to be very serious to begin with. im curious about the remake- kinda want to see it. anyone see it yet?
