but i have noticed i have to really gun it when there is another passenger. it doesnt like extra weight
an interesting thing about the 69's. i read that the 0-60 time was 35 seconds to give you an idea how bad that is....a fully loaded minvan, family and all can make it 60 in under 18 seconds. that car bearly makes 75 on the freeway and i feel like it will burst into flames
oh, and call me brute haha We would buy them , gut em and make rail buggies to hit the mud with . Hell you can buy them for nothing around here . mine was alittle bit more than nothing
but i have a nice one
but i could so go out today, find a bug that needs some love for under 1k We would get ones with great running gears but a little rusty for $100 . Cut out the drive train , weld up a body out of 2 inch pipe and go have fun .. A guy up the road sold 2 over the summer A 70 & 71 . He said the 71 got like 60 mpg . Both looked solid and he sold them for a grand . |

i easily expect 35 Seals go bad in older cars and they drink gas . You can get it rebuilt for under $ 400 and it will give it more power and bettwer mpg's .. |

| In motorcycle terms, I'm all about the Daytona: And whilw me and my Impreza share a deep and meaningful relationship, I'd still cheat on her with a Veyron: not because its the fastest production car in the world, but because she's just so damn pretty: |

| Never ridden a Triumph actually. I'd still take a ricer or a Duc over a Triumph though, as far as sportbikes go... | |

Well 1st off when you start it does it blow smoke ? Does it smoke when its running ? You said its short on power when you add weight , And top speed is hard on it . Does it use oil ? Do you have to add oil in between changes ? You said the mpg has went down . Now you can do it yourself with a little time and some tools . You can get a real good Rebuild Kit for the 1600cc for about $400 and it should come with a new Crankshaft , Forged Pistons ,Wrist Pin Retainers , Full set of Lifters , Connecting Rods , Oil Pump , Pushrod Tubes , Main Bearings , gasket set , rod bearings , Camshaft bearings and seals . Its not hard to Rebuild those 1600cc's .. They were made super well and will run forever . If you buy the kit and have a Engine shop do it add another $250 - $400 . But you will get the full mpg and power from that car .. We would rebuild those engines and get well over 100 mph with ease in a rail buggy .. |

| no, it will never get over 100. i dont want to hahah
yes, i add oil quite frequently...in fact, i bought 12 quart pack and planned on changing it today. i just may right now.
never smokes, ever.....only real work i did myself is adjust the valves, and that was a workout
i dont want to rebuild the engine...i think it just needs some new parts. | |
