Card games?

What card games are you guys into?

I like poker, blackjack, 13, and Magic the Gathering

Magic and Yugioh are my main though I really don't buy anymore.

Same as blackstar actually. I played online but I do have a MTG deck.

Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Duel Masters, Medabots. Those all happened at one point in time. I still play Pokemon on occasion with the female companion.

well at one point in time i have been addicted to pokemon, yu gi oh, shaman king, inuyasha, and a few other randoms and i play euchre a ton and i enjoy a good game of 13 every once in a while Lately i havent really been playing though, but if i do it is generally pokemon or yu gi oh with a certain guy

Dude pokemon's another one I used to all over that too on my gameboy with pokemon trading cards league, but now the rules have changed and old cards can't even be used in tournaments.

And this kind of shit does not fly at yugioh tourneys apparently:

I did learn about the metagame with synchro and tuner cards but it's kind of lame. I didn't really like it. I really liked when monarch decks were dominant lol.

Seriously though the problem with synchro and tuner cards and stuff is that any deck you make...if you want it to be able to SURVIVE you need a way to stop their really easy 1 turn combos. These 1 turn combos are DIFFICULT to stop you can even get OHKOed. It just makes it difficult to innovate.

I got the new game on My DS and burn decks don't seem to work as well as they used to

What I usually do is just put all the 1 for 1 cards I can get my hands on into the deck and mix it in with generally good cards and beat sticks. I think that's a very effective strategy because it turns overly ambitious strategies against themselves.
For example if your opponent tributes a monster to summon a monster and attacks and you use say Sakuretsu Armor then they lose 1 more card than you do in play. Eventually they'll run out and you'll just beat them to death.

never did any of that...had pokemon cards cuse they were cool and i was a slave to trends

if you play with 4 people, yes
im the undisputed champion of 3 player...which gets you 17 cards with a chance of getting an 18th (the spare card leftover, the person with the three of clubs, the starting card, gets the extra)

I have a mean Yu-Gi-Oh beat down deck.

Mainly though, I'm a 5 card stud fan, because Hold 'em is a little to random for my taste. A game with friends and a decent single malt is always a good time.
