fail.

ska was jamaican in origin originating in the 50's and it pre-dates reggae. reggae evolved from ska. has absolutely nothing to do with punk. it combines calypso with rythym and blues with jazz. 1st wave was in the 60s in jamaica, second wave was when english skins adopted the sound (2 tone) and 3rd wave started in the 80's

ska punk is just punk that combines ska with punk.
