Anyone heard "let the dominoes fall" by Rancid?

it's back to classic albums for rancid after the last two i felt were sub-par

this one i highly recommend

Rancid huh .. Well i alwas thought of them as a poor mans clash .. Only with left-leaning politics and fascination with ska ,At best there a neo-punk band . To many real punk bands out there for me to ever get into rancid much ..

oh i think they are way better than the clash ever was

how are they not real? the clash was barely punk either

to me they're as real as it gets carrying operation ivy's banner

the thing abour rancid that i love is that they can put out album after album full of catchy sing along fun pop punk anthems. sometimes they make albums with like 20 songs that are all one better than the next all the way through. that kinda thing hasn't been done since the ramones first handful of albums

Well they are most definitely a post-punk band.

The Clash followed Blondie and went mainstream, making radio-friendly pop music. But, at their roots, they were very much punk rock. These guys are too, but I am definitely not a fan of this newer post punk

yeah i've been into punk for 25 years, i know all the bands and none of those are more real then rancid is

i love the exploited and the misfits

buck o nine and pennywise are absolutely gay compared to rancid but i like all the other bands you linked to

im 36. haha damn i'm old. yeah i started out in high school as a metal fan with punk leanings then i went totally punk for like 8 years after that but i got back into metal in my old age because punk pretty much is stagnant

"warning" was an incredible album

they are good at what they do but when they started preeching too much i got a bit turned off

I hate politcal music for the most part. Green Day's old stuff was pretty good, but their new stuff is just trash imo

On that note Kur I actually bought the entire Screeching Weasles discog on one CD the other day You can say whatever you want about Hot Topic but when you can walk out of there with a Minor Threat shirt, their discog on one CD and teh SW discog on one CD I think it gets points.

That band is catchy, but kind of a joke- the lyrics are so funny
There definitely an above average punk band

As for punk I love Billy Talent, I don't know if anyone has heard of them. I think there only really popular in Canada

screeching weasel is far from a joke band. they may have started out that way

anyways, they broke up awhile ago but ben weasel keeps pumping out solo stuff which is actually better than later day Screeching Weasel
