Video editing Software?

Who's got the best video editing software out there, I am currently looking for a new program. So if you've got a good program for editing video please tell me. and if you've made a video with it please direct me to a link i.e. via a youtube. I'm currently using Adobe premiere elements 4.0 its pretty good and the stuff you can do is pretty cool but if theres a better program out there. please no mac programs as I am a OC user and no Windows Movie Maker because its lame and you can't do anything with that program.

Yeah i've heard alot of good things about premiere, I don't know of any better one's, except windows movie maker, that r0x my s0x.

Every time I tried to make a video its like f*** YOU! you don't have the proper codec!

Yeah I dont mind movie maker the only problem is its so unreliable, I crashes way to much
